Expeditious 8-day Kampala-Sipi-Kidepo Safari

Sipi falls is located in Eastern Uganda at the foot hills of Mount Elgon, with a series of 3 amazing falls that increase in depth as the waterfall descends. The surrounding community is famous for growing Arabica coffee an experience not worth missing. The Sipi River derived its name from the “Sep” plant that is indigenous to the river banks which looks like a wild banana plant however it’s used to treat measles and malaria. Kidepo valley National Park is found in the North east corner of Uganda its ranked among Africa’s finest wilderness and that’s why it was chosen as Africa’s third best safari national park. The park is surrounded by the Karamajong people known as Ike with a very interesting cultural experience which you would not endeavor missing.

Day 1 Airport-Kampala

Our staff will warmly receive you at the Airport on arrival and transfer you to Kampala

Day 2 Kampala-Sipi

In the morning you’ll be picked up by our driver to embark on utmost a 6 hour journey to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa district. The tour is filled with exciting sceneries and homesteads, with a lunch stopover in Mbale town after which you’ll continue with the journey to the great falls, in the afternoon you’ll check in at the lodge freshen up and prepare for an evening coffee tour in the Sipi community. From this adventure you’ll have an experience about Arabica coffee planting, harvesting, roasting, grinding and finally taste the final product of coffee.  After your coffee tour you will relax and wait for dinner at the lodge

Day 3 Sipi

In the morning after breakfast you’ll have a short briefing about the hike and community walk. The trail will take you to all the 3 waterfalls, visit the legendary caves, enjoy the beautiful stories and learn more about the Sebei culture. Interested clients can also participate in abseiling at the main waterfall that is 100m above sea level.  On this adventure, you’ll enjoy an authentic and mouthwatering lunch in the community. After your adventurous experience, you’ll trek back to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 4 Sipi-Kidepo

After your morning, you will embark on your journey to Kidepo valley National Park via the famous Nyero rock paintings in Kumi district. Here you have a chance to explore the 3 caves around the land mark and its rich history of these mystic rock art paintings. Later you will proceed to Kidepo Valley National Park and check in at your lodge relax, freshen up and have your dinner.

Day 5 Kidepo

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will embark on your early morning game drive through the finest wilderness which hosts over 77 mammal species such as cheetahs, lions, buffaloes, zebras, patas monkeys etc as well as around 475 bird species. From Apoka, in the heart of the park, a savannah landscape extends far beyond the gazette area, towards horizons outlined by distant mountains ranges.

Day 6 Kidepo

On this day after breakfast, you will have an amazing hike on Mountain Lonyili which is covered with montane forest making it a good habitant for birds and primates like red tailed monkey, black, white colobus monkey.

After lunch you will visit the Karamajong people from the Ike tribe. These citizens live a communally and in small huts known as Manyattas and still follow their traditional religion and believe in a god-Akuj. While on your cultural experience, you will engage in their traditional dances, ways of constructing and other day –to- day activities. After the long day you will relax and have dinner at the lodge.

Day 7 Kidepo-Kampala

After breakfast, you will set off for your journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover at Kabalega dinner for lunch and stretching then proceed to Kampala check in and have dinner at the lodge

Day 8 Kampala-Airport

On your last day in Uganda depending on the time of your flight we greatly recommend a short city tour around Kampala. Later in the evening, our driver will transfer you to Entebbe International airport for your flight.
